This is my first blog post on my new updated amazing site. I’m not going to lie I kept putting this blog post off. Why? It’s about who I am. I could sit here and name that I am a single mom, crazy entrepreneur, amazing body painter, networking busy bee, total book-worm, or a rugger for life. But those are the things that I enjoy. I could also go into how I have had my work published 6 times, made top 25 artist in ArtPrize 2017, or tell you about the indie film I did that won an award. But who cares…that’s really are not who I am. We are not a sum of what we do or accomplish or the job titles we give ourselves.
If I were to say who Kristen Adams is I would say I am someone who gets energized by growth and exchanging ideas with others. Growth is a huge part of my life and I love cheering on others who are doing the same thing. GROW, GROW, GROW. I’m someone who values family time. I am one of those people who actually like my family and want them around as much as possible. My mom, dad, brother and sisters are my support system and I hope I am their’s. Isn’t that why we want to work for ourselves anyway? So we can be available to our family when we are needed.
Family get put first, but I have a soft spot for my friends. I believe that relationships are important and that we should take care of each other. That whole be nice thing. 😉 I’m an extrovert that is always curious so I have a tenancy to ask a lot of questions. If someone tells me a task is impossible I see it as a challenge to find new solutions. I’m energetic, straight forward, open-minded, a little bit of a workaholic and strive to be knowledgeable. These are what I believe my strengths are.
As for my weaknesses I would rather not say. But what would be the fun in that? So if we were to get into the nitty-gritty of it I am absent-minded. If my head wasn’t attached, who knows where it would end up? I tend to look for my phone while I am holding it (wish I could say that has only happened once) Focus, oh focus, to me it is that dirty little “F word” I have to constantly make list just so I know where I am headed. I have had to come back to this post several times because of distractions. But the more you know the more you can grow. t is so easy for me to get off trail and go down a rabbit hole. I get bored quickly and if there are rules I am bound to break them. Some rules I can agree upon but there are just some that need to be broken in order to evolve.
So that’s me in a nutshell. I would love to hear about you! Let me know your favorite strength about yourself and what you do for personal growth.
